The bonus round rewards speed, and punishes it too
Finish all 130 questions with time left and BITSAT offers 12 extra questions worth 36 more marks. But once you enter the bonus round you cannot go back to review earlier answers. Taking it is a judgement about your own accuracy, and it should be practised in mocks rather than decided in the hall.

Should I attempt the BITSAT bonus questions?
Only if you are confident in what you have already answered. Entering the bonus round means you cannot go back to review earlier answers, so it trades certainty for 36 possible marks. Decide it in mock tests, not in the hall.
How is BITSAT different from JEE Main?
Same core syllabus, different exam. BITSAT adds English and Logical Reasoning, marks +3 rather than +4, and is won on speed — 130 compulsory questions in three strict hours.
Is BITSAT worth preparing for separately?
Barely — the Physics, Chemistry and Maths preparation is shared with JEE. What needs separate work is the pace and the extra sections, which is a few weeks rather than a year.

Because it is won on speed, mock tests on the real interface are the whole preparation.
