Why the interface matters
Most students meet the real CBT interface for the first time on exam day, and lose marks to it — to the navigation, to the review flags, to not knowing how long a question has taken. None of that is knowledge. It is all practice, and it is practice you can do for free before you decide anything about coaching.
What the report tells you
Subject, chapter and topic breakdown, accuracy, speed, and where the marks actually went. The point is not the score. The point is the list of chapters to open first.
A counselling conversation is more useful when both sides can see the same report. You are welcome to sit the test, take the report away, and never call — that is a fair use of it.
What it tells you that a score does not
The score is the least useful number the mock test produces. A percentage tells you where you stand; it does not tell you what to do on Monday morning, and the report is built to answer the second question.
It breaks the attempt down by subject, chapter and topic, so a 62% resolves into something actionable — strong in Mechanics, losing marks in Thermodynamics, guessing in Organic. That resolution is the difference between 'work harder at Physics' and 'open these three chapters'.
It also measures how you attempted, not just what you got right. Time per question, the order you attacked the paper in, questions you revisited, answers you changed. Students routinely lose more marks to sequencing and to changed answers than to not knowing the content, and neither is visible in a score.
Accuracy is reported separately from speed for the same reason. A student answering slowly and correctly and a student answering quickly and wrongly can produce the same total, and they need opposite advice for the next three months.
