What Zigyan Eduvision Pvt Ltd collects, why, and the rights you have over your information under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What this site stores, and when
Reading the public pages sets no cookies, runs no analytics and carries no third-party tracking scripts. The pages do fetch their typeface from Google Fonts, and the videos page shows thumbnail images from YouTube, so those two services receive the ordinary request your browser makes for a file.
Signing in to the student account sets three cookies. They are shared only with the student dashboard served on this same website, which reads them to keep you signed in; they are sent back only to this website, and are removed when you sign out:

If an announcement pops up on the homepage and you close it, your browser's session storage remembers that for the rest of the visit so it does not reappear; that is cleared when you close the tab.
What the forms send. The sign-in, account and password-recovery forms send what you type to our sign-in service, because that is how an account is created or opened. The enquiry form on the homepage and the contact page opens WhatsApp with your message (and any call-back time you chose) prefilled, so you can see exactly what is being sent, and nothing reaches us until you press send in WhatsApp. Messages you send us on WhatsApp are carried by WhatsApp, and are subject to their privacy terms as well as ours.
What we hold when you enquire or enrol
When you contact us or enrol a student we hold what you give us: name, contact details, email, the student's class and school, exam scores and ranks, and parent or guardian details where the student is a minor. Where a student uses the Zigyan practice platform we also hold their attempts, scores, timings and the analytics generated from them. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store card or bank details.
We use this to admit and teach students, to run and mark tests, to contact you about your child's progress and about Zigyan, and to improve what we teach.
Who else sees it, and for how long
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with your consent, with the providers who run our payment and messaging systems, or where the law requires it.
We keep student records for as long as the student is enrolled and afterwards where we are required to. You may ask us to delete your data and we will do so within 90 days, except where we must keep it by law.
What you can ask for
You may ask to see the data we hold on you, correct it, have it deleted, receive a portable copy, or withdraw consent. For a student under 18 a parent or guardian exercises these rights. Write to info@zigyan.com or call +91-9211538800.
Grievance redressal — the Zigyan Front Desk. Bring a grievance to the front desk at SCO 107, Second Floor, Faridabad, Haryana 121002, any day between 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM. You can also write to info@the live site or call+91-9211538800. We will acknowledge within 72 hours and resolve within 30 days.
