What we are actually
trying to do
Bring the standard of teaching a serious aspirant would travel to Kota for, to a classroom in Faridabad — without the anonymity that comes with it.
Most students who leave Faridabad for Kota do not leave because the teaching here cannot be good. They leave because they believe it cannot be. Zigyan exists to make that belief wrong — and to do it without the thing that makes large institutes hard for a teenager: being one of two hundred.
Each one costs us something
None of this is unusual as a stated value. What makes it real is the price — a cap on intake, a limit on what we can advertise, and fee income given away every year.
Small batches, held to
Batches stay small enough that a teacher can name every student's weakest chapter. This is a constraint on how many students we take, and we hold it.
Nothing claimed that can't be shown
Every result we publish is a named student with a rank you can check. That rules out most of what coaching advertising is made of.
Cost shouldn't decide who gets taught
The ZEST scholarship test can remove up to 100% of the fee, and it is decided on the paper alone.
What each commitment gives up
Stated values are cheap. These three are worth writing down only because each one costs something measurable, and the cost is what keeps them honest.
Capping batch size caps intake, and intake is revenue. Every year there are more applicants than seats and the straightforward response would be to add students to existing batches, which costs nothing and would not be visible to anyone outside the room until results arrived two years later.
Publishing only checkable results rules out most of what coaching advertising is made of — aggregate claims, unnamed toppers, percentages with no denominator. It means our numbers look smaller than competitors' numbers, and they are smaller, because they only count our own students.
And deciding scholarships on the paper alone means giving away fee income every year to students who would otherwise have paid it, with no way to recover that from anyone else. A scholarship that costs the institute nothing is a discount with a better name.

ZEST registration is ₹200. What it can remove is up to 100% of the fee, decided on the paper alone.
