Choosing a sitting

Which one to sit, and what happens between

The two sittings are a week apart and the paper is the same in each, so the choice is about your calendar rather than your chances. Sit whichever gives you a confirmed answer before you need to make a decision about the year.

For a student joining the new academic session, that usually means September. The result lands in line with our enrolment timeline, so a family knows the waiver before batches fill rather than after. The 20 September 2026 sitting still works and is the right choice for anyone who has only just started looking, but it runs against fewer remaining seats at the same score.

Between the test and the result there is nothing to do. Papers are marked centrally, the slab is derived from the score, and both student and parent are told together. Nobody is asked to come in and discuss it first.

If you miss a cycle, the next one costs the same ₹200 and carries the same slabs. What it cannot give back is the seats taken in the meantime.

Common questions

Test dates, answered

Which cycle should I sit?
The one that gives you a confirmed answer before you need to decide about the year. For a student joining the new academic session that is usually the next cycle, because the result lands in line with our enrolment timeline and a waiver is confirmed before batches fill.
What happens between the test and the result?
Nothing you need to do. Papers are marked centrally, the slab follows the score, and student and parent are told together within 48 hours.
Do the slabs change between cycles?
No. The paper is comparable and the slabs are the same across the year. What changes is how many seats are left.
